The river is open and fishing has been good!!!
Many fisherman are reporting limits of walleyes daily. the most productive presentations have been drifting with a jig and a minnow and wolf river rigs. Both shore fisherman and those in boats have been doing well.
The hot jig colors have been chartreuse,blue,orange,and pink.
At the shop we still have a large selection of 50% off items. We also have a selection of turkey hunting items for the upcoming season.
Do not forget your 2008 fishing licenses expire on March 31st.

THE RIVER IS OPENING UP. SOME BOAT TRAFFIC IS BEING SPOTTED HERE IN FREMONT.
THE MOST RECENT REPORTS WE HAVE GOTTEN SAY FISHING IS SLOW WITH A FEW WALLEYES BEING CAUGHT.
OUR MOST RECENT INFORMATION IS THE RIVER IS OPEN UP TO TED'S GRANDVIEW AND DOWN TO GALA RESORT. WITH THE CURRENT WEATHER CONDITIONS,WE ARE CERTAIN TO GAIN GROUND SHORTLY.
BOATS ARE GETTING IN AT GILL'S LANDING WITH SMALL AREA CLEAR AND GROWING.
WALLEYE ACTIVITY AT EUREKA AND OSHKOSH HAS ALSO BEEN REPORTED AS SLOW.

WE ARE ALL STILL WAITING FOR THE ICE TO GO OUT OF THE RIVER! IT SHOULD NOT BE MUCH LONGER.
LOTS OF GUY STILL ICE FISHING OVER THE WEEKEND. WE ARE STILL GETTING GOOD ICE REPORTS,BUT WITH THE WARM WEATHER WE ARE HAVING BE VERY CAUTIOUS.
REPORTS OF WALLEYES AND BLUEGILLS BEING CAUGHT ON POYGAN WITH INCREASED REPORTS OF CRAPPIES AS OF LATE.
BLUEGILLS ARE STILL BEING REPORTED ON PARTRIDGE LAKE.
FOR THOSE STOPPING BY THE SHOP, BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE LARGE SELECTION OF HALF OFF ITEMS. IN ADDITION SAVE 25% ON ICE AUGERS SHELTERS AND SLEDS IN STOCK. ALSO ANYONE INTERESTED IN A TEMPORARY PART TIME JOB FOR APRIL AND MAY STOP BY AND APPLY.

Still plenty of good ice fishing. Walleyes are picking up on Poygan with the majority being caught in late afternoon. Northerns are still plentiful with some over 40" being reported.
Pan Fish bite has picked up on Partridge Lake recently and some Northerns still being caught.
The channels are reporting large numbers of Northerns being caught.
Ice conditions can change rapidly this time of year please check on conditions before heading out. Northern fishing closes in this area on March 1st.

Poygan is still producing large size Northerns. The Walleye bite is improving especially late afternoon. Most landings still in good shape, but use Caution
Still catching Northerns on Partridge and Panfish bite is starting to pick up.
White Lake has been active for panfish and Northerns.
